Calculation Guarantee

Efile Tax Returns, Inc. guarantees the calculations performed by its Federal free file offering. State returns are not included in this guarantee. Calculations are defined in this regard as the numerical addition, subtraction or multiplication of numbers, and related automatic features that select numbers from tax tables.  It does not include any instance where a taxpayer can make a decision to substitute a number for the one automatically computed by the program, and Efile Tax Returns, Inc. is not responsible for changes in tax law made by the Congress during the tax season.

Efile Tax Returns, Inc. will pay any IRS penalties and/or interest resulting from an error in the program's calculation, notwithstanding the lack of revenue from Alliance filers.  The amount of this guarantee shall be limited to the amount accrued when the IRS provides notice to the taxpayer of an improper calculation. No other warranty is express or implied.
